Who we are

Soin de Beauté Day Spa & School of Beauty Therapy is a day spa, massage practice and beauty therapy school at La Toc Road, Castries, Saint Lucia. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Soin de Beauté.

We are responsible for the personal information described on this page. You can reach us at [email protected] or +1 758 716 7031.

The information we collect

We only ask for what we need to look after you and to run the spa and the school:

  • What you type into our forms: your name, email address, phone number, and anything you tell us about the treatment or course you are asking about.
  • Booking details: appointments made through our online booking page on Fresha are held by Fresha as the booking provider, and the appointment details are shared with us so we can be ready for your visit.
  • Messages: emails, phone calls and WhatsApp messages you send us.
  • Basic technical information: our website host records everyday details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you open, and aggregate visitor numbers.
  • We do not take card payments on this website and we do not store payment card details.

How we use your information

  • To reply to your enquiry and send the free guide you asked for.
  • To arrange, move and remind you about appointments.
  • To take payment for treatments, packages and courses through our providers.
  • To enrol students, run courses and issue certificates.
  • To keep treatment and training records, so your care is safe and consistent each visit.
  • To send news, offers or voucher notices, but only where you have asked to hear from us.
  • To keep the website working, secure and useful.
  • To keep the accounting, tax and other records the law requires.

Why we are allowed to use it

  • Your consent, when you send us a form or ask to hear from us. You can take that consent back at any time.
  • A contract with you, when you book a treatment, buy a voucher or enrol on a course.
  • Our legitimate interests in running the spa and the school, answering enquiries and keeping the website secure.
  • Legal duties, such as tax, accounting and health and safety records.

Who we share it with

We never sell or rent your information. We share it only with the providers who help us run the business, and only as far as they need it: Fresha, which provides our online booking service; our website host and email provider; and our accountant, insurer or professional adviser where needed.

We may also have to share information where the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.

Where your information is held

Some of our providers store data outside Saint Lucia, for example in the United States or the European Union. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards those providers put in place, such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

As a guide: enquiries that do not become bookings are kept for 12 months; treatment records are kept for 7 years after your last visit; student records are kept for the length of the course plus 7 years; and marketing details are kept until you ask us to stop.

When we no longer need something, we delete it or make it anonymous.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Show you a copy of the information we hold about you.
  • Correct anything that is wrong.
  • Delete information we no longer need to keep.
  • Restrict or object to how we use it.
  • Stop using your details for marketing.

Cookies

Our site keeps cookies to a minimum. What it does use, and how to control it, is set out in our Cookie Policy.

Children

This website is written for adults, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If a young person is coming for a treatment or a course, a parent or guardian makes the booking and gives us their details and consent.

Keeping it safe

Information sits behind password-protected accounts, only the people who need it can see it, and we take care when sending it. No system can be perfectly secure, so please tell us at once if you think your information has been exposed.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. For any question about your information, or to use any of the rights above, email [email protected] and we will reply within 30 days.

If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Commissioner of Saint Lucia.
